It’s easy to tell if MiC is connected properly by the status LED on the front of MiC. If it’s green, you are ready to record and the light becomes your input level indicator. If it turns red, you are rockin' the MiC too hard and need to turn your level down with the input gain control knob.

MiC features an input gain control knob. This rotary style wheel is conveniently located on the side of MiC for easy thumb access. With the level indication LED as your guide, the gain control knob allows you to fine tune for the perfect level without having to look at software.

Wired - Geek Dadby Chuck Lawton"... MiC by Apogee is a diminutive condenser microphone that is dead simple to operate yet captures highly detailed sound. ... I was first surprised by the MiC’s heft; its all metal construction immediately strikes you as a well manufactured and high-end product... Whether you’re writing music, shooting movies or capturing sound, Apogee’s latest offering has so many uses for producing content that it may be your next best accessory." |
The Wall Street JournalFeatured on WSJ.com and in the March 10-11, 2012 edition of the newspaper section, GEAR & GADGETS"WHETHER YOU ASPIRE to be the next Adele or just want to record the best-sounding depositions in your law firm, Apogee's new MiC makes the process of laying down high-fidelity audio tracks on your iPad, iPhone or Mac computer nearly foolproof." |
Guitar Salon International"Most mic’s (if not all) that work with iPod/iPad/iPhone only work with those devices, and not as a USB mic that’ll interface with your computer as well, so it’s pretty handy that Apogee’s ‘Mic’ does both, as there are times you’ll want to use Garage Band or some other DAW on your laptop, even though recording apps for the iPhone are starting to have more and more features. The ability to turn your iPhone into a full -blown high-quality field recorder is kind of a game changer, though, and what sets the ‘Mic’ apart at the end of the day is the sound quality." |
